We have got something unique and special going to for our May Specialty Pizza! It's called The Elvis! The kids were taste testing this pizza in the kitchen last night, and were getin' "all shook up!"

First, you need to know that the idea for this pizza, in it's entirety, was brought to us by one of our amazing employees, Ryan Hill (which as a side note about Ryan - one of the hardest working, greatest young men you'll ever encounter). He literally from beginning to end presented an entire pizza idea based on Elvis' favorite sandwich.

Elvis was first introduced to this sandwich by a chef in Denver Colorado named, Nick Andurlakis, with what he called "The Fool's Gold Loaf." It was hollowed out french bread with peanut butter, bananas, and bacon, then deep fried in butter. It is rumored that in 1976, Elvis flew his private jet from Graceland to Denver in the middle of the night because he craved this sandwich so much.

He then brought the idea back to Graceland to his personal chef, Mary Jenkins (pictured above), who cooked for Elvis for 14 years. He would later buy her a house and a car that he hand-picked himself. She would be on the clock, no matter what time of the day, and when Elvis had a hankering, she would make it for him. And this banana peanut butter sandwich became one of his favorites. She would later say, "He was a creature of habit and did not like change. So when he decided he liked something, he would be stuck on it for a while." And thus - Elvis' favorite sandwich was born.

And Ryan Hill took Elvis' favorite sandwich and turned it into a pizza. May's Specialty Pizza is:

THE ELVIS

We begin with a layer of peanut butter followed by our mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions, sliced ripe bananas, and thick cut roasted applewood bacon. When it comes out of the oven, it is drizzled with Mike's Hot Honey, a sprinkling of cinnamon, a touch of sea salt, and finished off with candied pecans (I candied them myself ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Admittedly, it is unique, and probably not for everyone. But the flavors of those bananas, peanut butter, bacon, pecans, and sea salt...its a hunka hunka of burning love. And, it is guaranteed to fill out your side burns.

Do you know what happened 10 years ago this year? One of the greatest historical events to ever take place! The Cubs finally overcame a 108 year drought to win the World Series!!! ๐Ÿปโšพ๏ธ The greatest day of my life right above witnessing the birth of my children (dear children...that's a joke...you're still #1).

To celebrate this historical event, as well as hoping somehow it brings back good juju for the Cubs this year to repeat (why in the world would you ever trade Kyle Schwarber?) - back on the menu after a three year absence, we present April's Specialty Pizza of the Month:

THE WRIGLEY

It is like a classic Chicago-style hot dog on a pizza.

On a bed of our pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese, we top it with all-beef hot dogs, onions, sliced tomatoes, chopped pickle chunks, sports peppers, and a dash of celery salt. After the oven, we finish it with a striping of the Chicago classic atomic green relish and yellow mustard.

You can easily make this pizza vegetarian or even vegan by substituting our beef hot dog for a plant-based hot dogs and/or vegan cheese.

Alright Lads and Lassies - today would be a great day to celebrate a little Saint Patrick's Day cheer ๐Ÿ€๐ŸŒˆ with either this month's specialty pizza, THE IRISHMAN. Or, returning to the menu starting tonight and for the season - THE SHAMROCK!

Both of these pizzas begin with our homemade alfredo sauce. On the Irishman we add a combination of mozzarella and swiss cheese, corned beef that we slow roast in guinness beer, saurkraut, braised red cabbage with apples, a sprinkling of caraway seed and finished out of the oven with 1000 Island dressing. The Shamrock is topped with light mozzarella cheese, spinach, sauteed and seasoned broccoli and asparagus, and dollops of whipped ricotta cheese.

Both would be an excellent choice to feed the family tonight! ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ•

It's MARCH!!!!!! So much happens in this month...including SPRING!!

March also marks the time of year where we offer my personal favorite Specialty Pizza - The Irishman! I look forward to eating it every year!!

We slow roast corned beef in Guinness beer. It smells amazing. And then we layer alfredo sauce on our dough followed by a swiss/mozzarella combination cheese, sauerkraut, braised apple/red cabbage, that slow roasted Corned beef, and just a tad sprinkling of caraway seed. When it comes out of the oven we drizzle 1000 Island dressing on top. It is full of amazing flavors!!
Grab one (or four) in the month of March!!!

We are coming down to the last few days of February's Specialty Pizza of the Month - THE GENERAL TSO'S PIZZA!

I like this pizza and think it is quirky delicious. But I'm a little surprised by how many we have sold. It is a shorter month and we didn't start selling it until the 3rd and it is in the running for being our highest selling Specialty Pizza ever.๐Ÿ™‚ It still has a Peachy Keen hurdle in front of it, but it is definitely possible.

Based on The General Tso's success combined with the surprise I had last year at how well our Tiki Rangoon (our Crab Rangoon Pizza) sold, even though I had the entire year's Specialty Pizzas lined up I've decided to make a change. The new lineup is:

March - The Orange Chicken Pizza
April - The Sweet & Sour Chicken/Pork Pizza
May - The Kung Pao Chicken Pizza
June - The Beef & Broccoli Pizza
July - The Sesame Chicken Pizza
August - The Pepper Steak Pizza
September - The Szechuan Shrimp Pizza
October - The Mongolian Beef Pizza
November - The Honey Walnut Shrimp Pizza
December - The Chop Suey Pizza

Just kidding (although as I'm making this joke I'm thinking, "That actually sounds amazing!).

THE GENERAL TSO'S PIZZA!!

We begin with a base of General Tso's sauce followed by mozzarella cheese. Then we place crispy nuggets of chicken tossed in General Tso's sauce on top of a bed of vegetable lo mein. After it comes out of the oven we finish it with delicious whipped Asian-infused cream cheese, finely sliced green onions, and sesame seeds.

The combination of these sweet, spicy, and savory flavors are an amazing asian pizza fusion worth devouring! Try one this month!

With a new year, comes a new month which brings us a new monthly Specialty Pizza.

January's Specialty Pizza: THE ASTEROID!!!

The Asteroid features our homemade all-beef meatballs, splashing into our signature pizza sauce and cheesy-cheese blend like โ€ฆ asteroids! We add crushed red pepper flakes, jalapeรฑos, dollops of ricotta cheese and send it into orbit, er, the oven. After it arrives on the cutting table, we drizzle it with hot honey and sprinkle it with crushed Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos, because, why not!? Just trust us, you should try it โ€ฆ itโ€™s, other worldly!

The Asteroid can be ordered vegan, and weโ€™ll make it with our homemade vegan meatballs, leave the ricotta off, use vegan cheese, and add our vegan cheese sauce under the pizza sauce, and finish with a light drizzle of maple syrup.

Put this pizza on your New Year's Resolution list for January! It won't help you lose weight. But it will make the year taste better.

Tonight, Sunday December 14th, is the annual Town Hall Pizza Employee Christmas Party.

A few things:
1. We will be closing an hour early at 7:00pm
2. We will stop seating in our dining room at 6:30pm
3. Due to last year's "mishap" and the "strongly worded letter" from our insurance provider, we will not be doing the relays that involve knives this year.

Being the overachiever, not only has Jennae made her traditional Tiramisu, but for the month of December she has also made - a Peppermint Tiramisu. She flavors the espresso with a bit of chocolate liqueur. Strangely, she always seems to have "accidentally" made too much espresso/chocolate liqueur while she is making it and we, apparently, can't "waste it," so...

Come and get some Peppermint Tiramisu and if Jennae is slurring her words, I assure you, she didn't have a stroke and she isn't allowed to handle kitchen knives in December.
