To help protect your deliveries from theft, the Voorhees Township Police Department is offering some valuable tips. Take proactive measures to secure your packages and enjoy a worry-free holiday season!
TRACK YOUR DELIVERIES: Stay informed about the exact arrival time of your packages.
USE SECURE DELIVERY LOCATIONS: Consider having your packages sent to your workplace, opting for in-store pickup, or using a lockbox. If allowed by the carrier, request that the driver leave the
package in a less visible spot, such as behind a large plant or near a side door.
ENLIST A NEIGHBOR: If you won’t be home, ask a trusted neighbor to collect your packages for you.
REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: If you notice someone hanging around delivery vehicles or taking packages, call the authorities immediately.
GET NOTIFIED: Sign up for delivery alerts (via text or email) from your carrier so you’re informed the moment your package arrives.
QUICK RETRIEVAL: Bring your packages inside as soon as they are delivered. If you can’t make it home right away, ask a trusted neighbor to pick them up for you.
