💜 A big thank you to Greenfield Village for creating space for the brownieDr and so many Black-owned businesses at the Jackson Home Celebration!

I hadn't visited in a while and my sister last came for the Nelson Mandela Exhibit (amazing & eye opening btw). We both spent so much time indoors that we didn't even think about the grounds.

As a vendor now, I didn't get to see everything but enjoyed the....

Historic buildings (with Staff inside to explain everything), Civil War reenactments, the train station, and the huge layout...there's a LOT of history to learn and see.

If you've never visited, I highly recommend it! 💜

Today we honor June 19th, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free...over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

We celebrate the generations who persevered, the communities that continue to rise, and the progress still being made.
