We appreciate everyone who has expressed their support for Rice & Bones. Although we’re closing one door, another door opens. The pandemic has had a profound impact on the restaurant industry, causing us all to rethink our approach to work, life, and business. At The Slanted Door Group, we took this opportunity to reflect on our origins, our passion for what we do, and our vision for the future. It’s been a renewed opportunity to work on new ideas and new concepts. We’re excited for the future! We can’t wait to see you when our other restaurants open later this year. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure Rice and Bones on Friday, May 12. For the past five years, we have been honored to be a part of UC Berkeley's campus and student body, providing sustainably and locally sourced food that we have been proud of. Unfortunately, with the current economic climate, it has become increasingly difficult for us to continue the business. We want to express our gratitude for the support throughout the years.

Our other locations in San Francisco and in San Ramon will continue to operate.

Our doors will officially close on Friday, May 12th at 7 pm. We invite you to visit us during this week to get the food or just to say goodbye to our staff.
