Our dietitian recommends stopping at the salad bar during every meal, and loading up on nutrient-dense foods like veggies, legumes, grains, eggs and cheese, and a variety of dressings.

Café 3 and Bear Market will remain open with regular hours throughout spring break. Plus, your flex+ dollars stay active all spring break, and you can use them on Grubhub!

⭐️🗓️ National Nutrition Month Week Two: Find Advice Backed by Science! UC Berkeley Dining values science and transparency in all of our menus. 🍔🥗🥪

One of our favorite menu items is our Halal Baked Chicken, served at Café 3. Our Halal chicken has a full transparent ingredient and allergen list, including information about hand-slaughtered vs. machine-slaughtered sourcing. You’ll also find nutrition facts such as calories and protein per portion, and we prepare this Mediterranean-style dish with an emphasis on lean protein, herbs, and balanced fats!

If you visit the UC Berkeley Dining website, you can find detailed ingredient lists and clear allergen disclosures for menu items, as well as access to Registered Dietitians who can help you with personalized, science-backed guidance.
