Change is all around. We are really looking forward to this fall, this seasons change feels like a really thick piece of paper turning slowly to a new chapter. Letting go, holding on, rearranging and moving forward. I find myself looking at a glass full of exhaustion & excitement, which is a recipe I know well.

Many years ago a wise woman Allison Glenn Cash introduced me to the writings of Wendell Barry. I slowly collected his books and found joy in understanding his words. Sometimes this life we have chosen feels like an uphill battle, most of the time it’s extremely rewarding. Wendell’s writings felt like I was reading hope and that our dreams are worth living. Coming from a generation that the majority was raised with a growing distance from farm life, we found ourselves chasing the shadows of farmers. Reading his words felt like a grandpa telling me stories of what can be, should be.

It’s (almost) that time of year! Mark your 🗓️, the annual Turnbuckle Farm pumpkin patch is set to open Saturday, September 12th! It’s going to be a good one this year, and we are so excited!
