π€π₯ HOMEMADE NORWEGIAN LEFSE π₯π€
β¨ Special Occasions β¨
For many families, lefse is more than food. Itβs tradition, memory, and love passed down through generations.
I grew up having lefse every holiday season at my grandmotherβs house. She didnβt make it herself. Her sister did, and she would ship it from Wisconsin so we always had it waiting for us. After my grandmother and great-aunt passed away, lefse was no longer part of our holidays. Ordering it online was incredibly expensive, and for a while, it felt like that tradition was gone.
About five years ago, I decided to learn how to make it myself and now, Iβm finally ready to share it with others π€
π₯ What is Lefse?
Lefse is a traditional Norwegian flatbread made from potatoes, not flour. Itβs rolled paper-thin and cooked one at a timeβ¦a very labor-intensive process that takes patience and care. The flavor is unlike any tortilla or flatbread youβve ever had.
β¨ How to Enjoy It
β’ Warmed with butter (my favorite π€)
β’ With cinnamon & sugar
β’ Spread with cream cheese or jelly
β’ Wrapped around ham, turkey, or chicken
There are so many ways to enjoy it: sweet or savory.
π¦ Pricing
β’ Β½ dozen (6): $12
β’ 1 dozen (12): $22
