Dear Tim’s Tavern friends, family, and followers. We have decided to end this little social experiment and put out a statement because you all deserve one. Tim has, and continues to, and will continue to maintain his innocence of any and all of the lies, slander, and crimes he’s been accused of. He did not plead guilty to anything nor will he ever to anything. Why, you may ask? He is innocent. The prosecutor told you so in so many words, and could have done a lot better job explaining, I think we can all agree on that. We will help you a little more. They were lying! The accusers gave statements. Then they gave more statements. Then they gave even more statements. All along the way, from their very beginning statements, there were lies, and more lies and more lies. These came back to haunt them because the prosecutor had to drop all of the original misdemeanor sexual assault charges as well as the r**e and burglary felony charge which was one of the first story changes against Tim by the accusers. Why? The evidence or better yet, lack of evidence proved him innocent of all of those charges. That as well as the changes to the statements and inconsistencies of all of the ‘victims’ statements forced them to lower the charges. I hate to use the word victims in regards to these people because I believe their actions do a disservice to actual victims which absolutely deserve to be heard!!
All of you have based your collective opinions on those statements. Why? Because those are the only statements that have been made public. So if you are making your judgments based on those alone and/or the overzealous, yet shoddy detective work, then it’s easy to see why you may think the way you do. But if you’d like to open your mind to the actual facts of a case, you may come to another, more clear, and intelligent, fact driven conclusion. That would actually take effort on your part though and we realize some of you are fine going after low hanging fruit on social media and even our wonderfully gifted local media who have as much credibility as tabloid journalists at this point. You have heard nothing from Tim because he was obviously in the middle of legal proceedings and was discouraged by his legal team from releasing any statements to the media or anyone else until all legal pursuits are finished. On both sides. In fact the only reason he took a plea deal on the counts the prosecution lowered to acceptable terms is there is zero chance in his opinion of receiving a fair trial in this day and age in this small town. If you doubt this, look at the uproar that has happened. People don’t have all of the facts of the case, yet the trial had already been settled in the court of public opinion, thanks to social media as well as local “media”. None of which have any journalistic integrity nor any other kind of integrity! How many times did they interview Tim or any of his witnesses? That would be zero. How many times did the police interview Tim or his witnesses? Zero. How many times did the prosecutor interview Tim and his witnesses? Zero. We did send them evidence that they were lying, but they still chose to drag it out two years despite having this evidence. So you all have made up your minds and opinions, based on lies, other people’s opinions, or at the very least, not having all of the facts in the case. That’s the kind of jury pool anyone would want to trust your life to, right? And that is the main reason for the plea bargain from our side. What would you do?
Tim would like to thank all of his supporters, for the prayers, thoughts, business, and love poured out these last two years. And to all that reserved judgment until the actual facts come out, you are still welcome here. As for the rest of you, well it’s still a free country so keep being you. Because everyone has the right to an opinion, no matter how ignorant it may be. God bless you! We’ll be praying for all of you.
