❤️ A little fact about me!
I grew up cooking alongside both of my grandmothers. From homemade soups and pies to canning, so many of my favorite memories were made right in the kitchen. 🥹❤️
But there are just some recipes you can never quite duplicate, and my Gram’s potato soup is one of them. I try my hardest every time, and as much as I love making it, it will never quite be hers. I’ll always miss her potato soup. ❤️
Today, Ember is helping me make the “ribbles” that go into the soup. 😂 If you know, you KNOW! And if you don’t, they’re little pieces of flour and egg dough that cook right in the soup. I swear I put way too many in every single time because, for some reason, those little doughy pieces are my absolute FAVORITE part! 🥣
I love that I get to share little pieces of my childhood with my own kids and hopefully pass these traditions down to them, too. ❤️
Now I want to hear from you! 👇
What’s one food that someone in your family makes better than anyone else, and you just can’t seem to replicate? Maybe it’s your grandma’s pie, your mom’s Sunday dinner, or a recipe that never tastes quite the same when someone else makes it.
Tell me in the comments! I love hearing these stories because sometimes the secret ingredient really is the person who made it. 🥹❤️
