It’s time for an Irish Goodbye.

One of Bend’s favoritest bicycle baristas is leaving us! 😭😭😭

Come say goodbye this Thursday evening and help line Irish’s pockets with big tips as he sets off on his next adventure. Could it be bike touring through Japan? A corporate desk job? A monestary!? Who knows! Come get the answers to the Irish Mystery this Thursday!

We’ll miss you, Irish. Thanks for all the laughs. You truly brighten everyone’s day.

WE WILL BE CLOSED FRIDAY BUT...
will remain open for community and connection.

We live in strange times. Our hearts hurt for Rene Good and Alex Pretti, but also for the erosion of human and constitutional rights in our country that we’re seeing play out before our very eyes on a daily basis. There’s a growing mix of outrage, pain, and disgust toward the unjust use of force being employed by those in power and it’s time to talk about it.

Many of us feel powerless to do anything. We vote, try to be conscious with our money, raise healthy children… and many of us wonder if our votes or calls to congress even do anything at all. How can we effect change? How can we say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?

That leads us to FRIDAY, where a large section of the Nation has organized to strike. Money seems to be the only political motivator with the current administration. We need to make it clear that we will not stand for more hard earned money going to a government that fattens the pockets of the rich and powerful, and funds out of control agencies like ICE and Border Patrol.

We feel it’s necessary to acknowledge and support this cause. We can’t sit on our hands and look the other way. We can’t carry on with business as usual. As a community coffee house in a community owned building we feel it’s important to encourage conversation around this important inflection point.

WHAT WE’RE DOING: We will be “CLOSED” but we’re keeping the space open to the public. We will not accept any money, but will be serving free coffee, hot chocolate, and tea as a means to encourage community, conversation, and reflection of where we are.

THERE WILL BE NO WIFI AVAILABLE - we discourage people from showing up to work and bury eyes into devices, and instead… look at each other. Make a new friend. Say hello. It doesn’t have to be a heavy political conversation, but we believe that the most radical thing we can do to protest the “inhumane” is to empower the humans.

Come grab a hot drink and connect with others.
