Kebaba friends and family;
It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing our decision to permanently close the doors at Kebaba on October 15. We opened Kebaba almost 15 years to this day, a very long time in restaurant years, and we are extremely proud of this one-of-a-kind restaurant we have built here on the corner of 10th and Newport. Many of you probably know that we also own and operate another restaurant as well; given the overwhelming challenges of staffing two restaurants in the current environment, we made the difficult decision to simplify and consolidate our operations so we can return full focus back to our original restaurant, Pizza Mondo.
Your incredible dedication has kept us going strong for all these years. Bringing Middle Eastern food to sleepy 2006 Bend seemed like a crazy idea at the time, but your excitement and encouragement allowed us to grow and flourish. We can’t thank you enough for loving our little purple house on Newport, filling our patio on beautiful summer nights, jamming our phone lines with takeout orders, and voting us “Best Of” winners every year for 15 years straight. Not being here for you definitely will be the hardest part of closing.
Change is tough, but it is also inevitable, and we are now all looking forward to our next adventures.
We hope you come in to say farewell and enjoy a final goodbye meal sometime before we close the doors for good.
