Hey :) I don’t want to make a reel, making a post feels like screaming into the void, but here you go: when we rebranded and reopened as Bo’s we decided to lower the price of our three best selling items (sausage egg and cheese, bacon/egg/cheese, egg and cheese), so we lowered them by $4. It doesn’t sound like much, I’m sure, but it was an intentional, deliberate and meaningful decision. The impact of $4 in this economic climate can be important when spread over a day of business, every day. So now you know.
And tbh I think it’s one of those business decisions that I’m proud of my team for making with me. Lowering prices means a smaller tip, so it’s really cool they also believe that we should be adjusting based on customer needs. It’s something I need to tell customers because turns out nobody can read my mind, but I am so self conscious about promotion, whether it’s necessary or just valid. It felt awkward to me to say here is a $9 BEC in this time in history and just generally. I could be a professional over thinker. Anyway, we did something we are proud of and wanted to let you know.
If you’re one of those people that is going to say the first price was expensive…don’t. Or at least don’t until you can tell me the cost of every ingredient, every wage, every utility bill, service fee, monthly charge, unexpected cost and monthly rent. We have always had fair prices and questioning that past a point is insulting. That’s a new boundary for some :)
Believe it or not, we hate being held hostage to inflation and the current erosion of restaurants. Because we love you. We are madly in love with you. We want to know your ring size. We don’t ever want this night to end.
