Last night was something I’ll never forget.

Thank you to everyone who came to wish me and The Jackalope Grill farewell. The flowers, the gifts, the stories, the memories… it was overwhelming in the best way.

So many hugs. So many tears. So much laughter about the good times we’ve shared in that space.

And to my staff — thank you. For the shared successes, the long nights, the stories we’ll tell forever, and the very real feeling that we built a family inside those walls. Thank you for the incredibly thoughtful gifts and for quite possibly the best cake ever. You know how to send a girl out in style.

I am so proud of each of you, and I’m wishing you every success in what comes next.

This restaurant has always been more than food. It’s been people. It’s been community. It’s been you.

You all truly mean the world to me. 🤍

Tonight is the last night for The Jackalope Grill.

It’s hard to put into words what this space has meant to me. What it has meant to my family. What it has meant to our team. What it has meant to this community.

This wasn’t just a restaurant.
It was first dates and anniversaries.
It was wedding rehearsals and business deals.
It was tears at the bar and laughter in the courtyard.
It was late nights, early mornings, and a whole lot of heart.

You all helped me create something I am so deeply proud of. Every server, every dishwasher, every cook, every bartender, every guest who walked through our doors — you built this with us. Brick by brick. Plate by plate. Shift by shift.

I have always felt fiercely protective of this team and this space. Like Mrs. Peregrine and her extraordinary children — each of you brought your own rare gift, and my greatest joy has been watching those gifts shine. ✨

And now… one door closes.

But another opens.

Chef Josh Podwils — our chef, our steady hand, our creative force — is stepping into ownership and reimagining this space as Rosemary & Fox, opening March 17th. What you’ve loved here will remain in spirit — but elevated, refined, and deeply intentional.

I could not be more proud or excited to see him take this team I cherish and turn it into something we can all stand behind.

Bend — you have given us so much joy. Your support, your loyalty, your love… it has never gone unnoticed.

Tonight, we serve our final dishes as The Jackalope Grill.
And we do it with gratitude in our hearts.

There’s something beautiful about honoring what was… while also daring to breathe new life into it.
Over the years, I tried to add a fresh twist to The Jackalope Grill — elevating flavors, refining the details, polishing the experience — while protecting the soul that made it special in the first place. The garden dinners. The wine nights. The laughter at the bar. The quiet conversations tucked into the corners of the courtyard.
We weren’t perfect. We weren’t scripted. But we were real. And that’s what made it magic.
Every small change, every new idea, every late night spent reworking a menu or rearranging a room came from a place of love — love for the space, the team, and the community that supported us.
The memories we created along the way are stitched into those walls. Celebrations. First dates. Staff who grew into leaders. Guests who became friends. Moments that can’t be duplicated — only remembered and cherished.
Thank you for allowing me to try, to evolve, to dream inside those doors.
What we built together will always matter. ❤️ And now we have an opportunity to support growth and dreams for Rosemary and Fox. We are so grateful for this transition, and couldn't have ask for anything better to be planted and rooted here in the heart of Bend Oregon. See less

We are not a restaurant that will just drop off the face of the earth with no notice. The last few years at The Jackalope Grill have been filled with memories I’ll carry for the rest of my life. If you experienced it, you know… and if you missed it, you missed a vibe that’s hard to find and even harder to recreate.

We were never a scripted restaurant. We cherished character — in our space, our team, and every guest who walked through the door.

My favorite part of ownership has always been the relationships. The conversations at the bar. The celebrations. The hard days we pushed through together. And especially the moments when parents told me they were grateful their children worked with me — that means more than I can ever properly say.

To every employee who has been part of this journey — whether you went on to school, returned home to Bulgaria or Ukraine, or stepped into your next chapter — you helped shape what The Jackalope Grill became. You are part of its story forever.

Thank you for the trust, the laughter, the grit, and the love.
