Hey folks, we got wings today! Delicious Draper Valley chicken wings, all natural, antibiotic free and totally healthy… well all that’s true, except for maybe the healthy part..🤷🏼‍♂️😆. It’s also an El Rey Day! He’s been a hit so far, so check him out! It’s gonna be a beautiful day and you need to treat yourself, Bend. Hey folks, we are working on a new menu and here’s one for the books! As many of you know, or don’t know, I was born in Tucson, Arizona. Even though I spent my entire youth in Tucson, my roots for cooking all came from the south. Well, here is…. a mixture of the two and we call it El Rey(a.k.a. The King).One of my favorite songs from my old neighborhood and truly what describes this chicken sandwich. So we give you El Rey(or The King), our delicious fried chicken topped with a Tapatío-Honey Sauce, Pico de Gallo, Cotija cheese on Big Ed's Artisan Bread Potato Bread. It can’t get any better than this. Available starting tomorrow Ballers & Brews

About 8 and half years ago my family and I opened a food cart. You all know this. But what some of you might not know is that we were the second food cart at the Podski. We sat there. For weeks with very little traffic. I was told by the owner of the lot had a couple of food carts coming to ensure the success. One was Thailandia and the other, Big Ski’s Pierogi You don’t know how grateful I was. I met Big Ski when he was coming back from a vacation in Ireland. I knew when I met him, we would be friends. With his kindness and energy, he was the best neighbor I could ever hope for. He really saved me. At one point, I was so bogged down in work and stressed about running a small business in Oregon, I would watch Rich. I would watch him talk to his customers and explain to them what a pierogi is… “it’s like a dumpling meets a ravioli”. I must of heard him say that a thousand times. He loved it. He love telling people his story and how much he loves it. Making his heritage. It was and still is important to him. He was my neighbor for four, almost 5 years. I miss those days. We smoked a lot of w**d and swapped a lot of stories. You will be missed, Big Ski. You are one of the reasons the Tin Pig is still around today. You are a king of your craft and a very important part of this community. Much love brother. Happy travels. I’m sure we will see you again. Hopefully soon. Thanks Rich.

Yup… that’s right. I got the wings you’ve been looking for and it’s not gonna break the bank. And yes, it’s the FULL WING. No paddles and drums, it’s the whole fricken chicken wing. So it’s nice and juicy. We are offering Buffalo, Nashville, Carolina BBQ and Honey Tapatío Sauce or Dill Pickle (of course! We pickle ball here!), Old Bay(shown above), Sweet and Salty BBQ or Nashville Dry Rubs. And no, I’m not gonna charge you for celery and carrots. It comes with it🤷🏼‍♂️. So wings never got better. Once again, and still a very pleasant surprise we won Best Fried Chicken for Bend and Central Oregon. With all of the other great fried chicken out there(especially now), we are extremely proud, grateful and thankful that you nominated us once again. We are happy to be here. We are thankful to be here. With so many businesses that haven’t been able to make it through the last few years, we dedicate this award to you. It’s a tough business and we are thankful that we are still here to serve such a great community. We thank the Source for being a great platform for our local community and we want to give a shot out to Ballers & Brews Without them, we would not have a place to serve you this award winning chicken. Even though we’ve only been there for a short amount of time, we share the same dedication to the local community. That has always been more important to us. We and Ballers & Brews are always here for you Bend, just like you’ve been there for us. Go LOCAL. Support your local community and businesses. We need you now more than ever. Keep Bend special. Hey folks! Ponch’s Place just issued their summer hours. Even though Ponch’s is closed, we and and will still be open for business. All of us are here for you Monday through Saturday with normal hours. Unfortunately we cannot sell you b**r or w**e, we all have a lot of drink options to offer you. Although the tap hours vary, we are all here and committed to you enjoying yourselves! Thanks for your support though this summer.
