Public land....A lot of people have commented to me through the years " you always shoot a big buck!" Truth is, it's about every two or three years, but all on public land. Another truth is, I am always in the woods. The way I find my bucks on public land is putting on the miles! I grouse hunt a lot with the pups, and I am always looking for big buck sign. I just got this buck on camera last night, (new area) and I'm really close to getting him as I have patterned him (I believe). If he moves during the day I feel confident. I just have to beat the rifle hunters, hopefully a good story to follow....

Well, that was a cold grinder! I think we ended up 8th, not sure with just under 18pounds. Huge weight at the top, like 24 pounds. On to hunting season!!

Bassmaster! Well I almost cashed, against the best. What a grind!! 5 footers on Day two beat me and the boat up.
Day one, I had 15.4 pounds. Second day I had 14.6 by 8 a.m. and felt really confident in making the top 45 out of 210. I grinded all day but couldn't upgrade. I knew before I needed 16 pounds on that day, and didn't quite get it. I ended up 63 out of 210. Got to fish against some greats like Rick clunn, Ish Monroe, Easton, the list goes on!! Thanks to my sponsors reaction Barlow's Tackle Shop, Do-it molds, Keyster Baits, Reaction tackle, Mercury motors, Triton boats!!

Banging out lures for the next week. Ive got a tournament on Saturday, and then 4 days of pre-fishing and 2-day tournament, Bassmaster, hopefully a third day is in the making!! It's going to be a grinder!!
