♻️ 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚!

In case you missed it, Casella and Waga Energy have launched a new renewable natural gas project at Hyland Landfill—turning landfill gas into a valuable energy resource that can be delivered into the natural gas system.

This is a great example of innovation, investment, and resource recovery happening right here in Allegany County. Projects like this bring new technology and private investment to our region while creating opportunities to turn what was once considered waste into something with real economic value.

👏 We’re proud to see continued investment and innovation taking place in Angelica and throughout Allegany County!

A new facility at the Hyland Landfill in Angelica is turning waste into renewable natural gas to power the regional grid.

In case you missed the news...

🌲 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐲! 🚴‍♀️🥾

Construction is underway on four new pedestrian bridges in Allegany County, helping reconnect sections of the trail and create a more continuous multi-use experience through our communities. The project represents a significant investment in one of our region’s incredible recreational assets.

And trails are about more than recreation—they’re economic assets. Visitors who come to hike, bike, horseback ride, or explore our trails often stop for a meal, grab a coffee, shop locally, fuel up, or stay overnight. Those visits put dollars directly into our local businesses and communities.

With the Genesee Valley Greenway stretching 90 miles and connecting communities, parks, and other regional trails, investments like this help make Allegany County a destination worth exploring.
