What is Scoops for Scholarships?
It's the day that Trailside Treats - Belmont and Kool Kone Ice Cream GR invest in our community's future—and we invite you to be part of that investment.
Tomorrow, Saturday, August 8, 100% of every ice cream sale (plus every tip) goes directly to our college- and trade-bound student employees.
College is stupid expensive. And it's not just tuition. There are lab fees, books, parking permits, technology fees, administrative fees, housing, meal plans... and just when you think you've paid the final bill—surprise! Here's another fee.
Scoops for Scholarships is our way of investing in our own—our neighbors' kids who are working hard, scooping ice cream, and earning their way toward higher education. Whether they're headed to a university or a skilled trade, they're putting in the effort today to build a better tomorrow.
This is our 5th annual Scoops for Scholarships, but over the past 25 years we've watched our student employees grow into doctors, lawyers, engineers, business owners, computer programmers, dental hygienists, educators, and even a member of Homeland Security. This year's Scholars are pursuing careers in cybersecurity, business, entrepreneurship, engineering, and several are still discovering where their talents will lead them.
Join us tomorrow—Saturday, August 8—at either location, all day long.
Buy an ice cream. Bring your family. Make a date to meet your neighbors. Tip generously. Order the Large. 😊
Every cone, sundae, glacier, shake, and banana split helps these incredible young people take another step toward their future.
