Kitchen Helper Position:

Little Tokyo in Barkley Village is looking to hire on a Part-Time Kitchen Helper. The Kitchen Helper position starts at $15.74(+ depending on relatable experience) per hour, then with tips after training and increased responsibilities assigned. We are looking for someone with Asian food and/or Teriyaki experience and will prioritize applicants with applicable experience. This position will have about 18-24+ hours or more as business picks up during busier times of the year. The work schedule will primarily be Tues-Thurs with most weekends off.

Requirements:
-Must have reliable transportation (snow, rain, etc)
-Must be available some weekends (Fri/Sat closed on Sundays)
-Foodhandlers Permit current or within 2 weeks
-Be able to be on your feet during whole shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Duties:
-Prep various ingredients for different menu items
-Basic housekeeping, mopping, dishwashing, etc.
-Kitchen opening duties
-Kitchen closing duties
-Help cook hot items when needed
-Work independently when needed
-Multitask and prioritize multiple dishes/tickets
-Communicate with Sushi chef, Kitchen Staff, and Servers when needed

Little Tokyo in Barkley Village Bellingham is looking to hire on a Server for part-time hours, about 12-15+ hours a week with potential for more hours as we get busier. Great for students (21+) or those looking for some extra hours. Serving experience preferred and prioritized over no experience. Pay starts at $15.74 plus direct tips, no tip pooling. **21+ only please as we are serving beer and wine**

Requirements:
-Foodhandlers Current or within 2 weeks
-Reliable transportation (snow, rain, etc)
-Must be available weekends (Primarily Saturdays)
-WA State MAST Class 12 Alcohol Serving Permit current

Tasks:
-Greeting/Seating customers
-Communicating between customers, other servers, and kitchen staff
-Basic housekeeping (busing tables, wiping/sweeping, etc)
-Be able to prioritize tasks/multi-task
-Opening/Closing duties
-Refilling/restocking items
-Basic cash handling
-Answering questions/providing recommendations
-Serving dishes/beverages
-Prepping and bagging take-out orders
