It was an awesome day!! 🐶

These two smiles say it all - Jacey and Birch are very excited to announce the results of a recent fundraiser!

Jacey and her family operate the Ice House Drive-In in Belle Plaine, and Jacey was a volunteer at Safe Haven before heading to college last year ❤️

Jacey is home for the summer but too busy working to volunteer, so she reached out and wanted to do a fundraiser at the Ice House. So last week they donated 10% of their sales on Wednesday and collected donations too. They had an awesome turnout and stayed super busy all day long with customers from all over our community stopping by! 🙌 Through your generous donations and support of this event, Jacey and her family were able to present us with a $1,000 check! 😁

Now you may wonder why Birch looks so happy in this photo too….well we are happy to announce that this donation will be applied towards his specialized vet care that we recently found out he needs. He will be having a special (and expensive) dental procedure coming up next month. We will share more about this procedure and the costs involved later this week as we kick off a fundraising mission! We are going to need lots of help to make this happen for Birch - so stay tuned as we explain his medical diagnosis and the procedure he requires in order to give him the best chance at a healthy, pain-free life. ❤️

🐶 But for tonight ….we are just celebrating this awesome donation - thank you Jacey & everyone at the Ice House for organizing this fundraiser, and to everyone that came and supported the event!

Our Safe Haven fundraiser was an incredible success, and we are so grateful for everyone who came out to support such an amazing cause. It was wonderful to see people from all over our community, and surrounding areas, stop by to help make a difference.

Because of your incredible support, we are proud to share that we were able to donate $1,000 to Safe Haven! 🎉 Your generosity truly made this possible, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.

We also want to give a very special thank you to our friends at Safe Haven for partnering with us and helping make this event possible. We appreciate everything you do and were honored to be a small part of supporting your mission.

Due to the city parking lot resurfacing project, we kindly ask all Ice House customers to park on the south side of the restaurant by the white retaining wall.

🍦 Our drive-thru is still open and moving right along, so feel free to swing through as usual!

We apologize for any inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience and support while the construction is underway. Thank you, and we can’t wait to serve you!

🍦☀️🍔 Hot summer days like today are a perfect excuse for an ice cream treat - so stop by the IceHouse Drive In this Wednesday, July 8th from 11:00 to 8:00 pm and enjoy some refreshing ice cream, or even have a sandwich (tenderloin, cheeseburger, etc and fries!) - and then enjoy some ice cream! Either way you won’t be disappointed, and our friends at the IceHouse are collecting donations all day long for Safe Haven, and then will also be donating 10% of all sales back to us! 👍

🐶A few volunteers will be stopping by throughout the afternoon and will be bringing along some of our adoptable dogs - stay tuned that day for some adorable dog visit pictures! ❤️🐶🐾

If you have been hoping to see our adoptable pets, but can’t make it on Saturday mornings - we have started having a few open hours during the week now too. Two Thursday evenings each month we will be open from 6:00 to 7:30. This month it is July 9th (THIS THURSDAY!) and again on July 23rd - we would love to see you, stop on out!
