A Note to Fellow Operators & Investors
After five years of running a seasonal lake-area restaurant alongside year-round concepts, we’ve made the decision to bring Bobbers Pizzeria & Drive-Thru at Indian Lake to market.
This isn’t a story about burnout or a business that didn’t work.
It’s really a story about focus — and being honest about where my time and energy create the best return.
Bobbers has been a true operator’s classroom. We tested different models, worked through seasonality, simplified menus, fixed bottlenecks, and invested in the kind of infrastructure that actually makes a difference when you’re busy — not just on paper.
A few things this experience reinforced for me (that most operators already know):
• Seasonality isn’t the enemy — the wrong model is
• Drive-thru flow and menu discipline matter more than square footage
• Simpler menus usually win
• The right equipment can change the entire stress level of an operation
• At lake locations, bar programs and outdoor space are often where the real upside lives
Bobbers sits in a proven Indian Lake location with steady seasonal demand, a high-efficiency drive-thru, D5/D6 liquor licenses, walk-in cold storage, and a newer high-capacity pizza oven that completely changed production flow. The foundation is solid. There’s still meaningful upside for the next owner.
At this stage, my full operating focus is best spent on Iron City Sports Bar, my flagship year-round operation. Bobbers deserves an owner whose primary attention is there — because that’s how good businesses become great ones.
