There’s something special about September in Northern Michigan.
The mornings turn crisp. The evenings invite a sweater. The trees begin their slow transition toward gold and crimson. And suddenly, a quiet cup of coffee on the porch feels like exactly where you’re supposed to be.
At Applesauce Inn B&B, September is the beginning of our favorite season—and we’d love to share a little of it with you.
Fall Is Arriving
This is the month for scenic drives, wandering country roads, exploring local trails, visiting orchards, and watching the landscape change a little more each day.
If you enjoy getting outside, Glacial Hills Pathway and Natural Area is just one of the wonderful places nearby to stretch your legs and take in the woods.
And after a day of exploring, there’s nothing quite like coming back to the Inn, settling into a comfortable chair, and slowing down.
🍎 Apples, Orchards & All Things Autumn
September and apples just seem to belong together.
This time of year brings apple orchards, cider, fresh-picked produce, and all those flavors that make Northern Michigan fall so delicious.
And of course, here at Applesauce Inn, we love bringing the season into our own kitchen with scratch-made breakfasts featuring local and garden-fresh ingredients.
Because breakfast should be more than a meal—it should be one of the best parts of your stay.

One of our favorite things about September is that there’s no need to rush.
