Hey Colossal Fam,
This is a tough post for us, and honestly, it's not where we wanted to find ourselves. We've hit a point where recovery might not be possible, and we're reaching out to our incredible community as a last resort.

Since we opened our doors in 2020, right before the storm of COVID hit, it's been a constant uphill battle. We started with a dream that this shop would be more than just a business – it would be a source of opportunities for our family. But year after year, we've faced challenge after challenge. From our window being blown in during a storm to enduring the summer heat without a working AC unit, and bouncing back (with your amazing help) from not one, but two burglaries. On top of that, the three major surgeries that Jono had to go through last January/February/March, plumbing issues, and the list goes on.

The current economic landscape is hitting us hard, and we're struggling to keep the lights on. Our family is putting in everything we have, but we're at a point where paying our employees and covering rent and bills is an immense challenge. We've poured our hearts and souls into this shop, but now we find ourselves wondering, "What more can we give?"

This is where we are letting our pride go and asking for help. We've set up a GoFundMe page, and we're reaching out to you because you've been an integral part of our journey. If you choose to donate, every bit you can contribute will make a significant difference in helping us weather this storm and keep the dream alive.

If you can’t donate but can come in with your friends and enjoy a sandwich, that would mean the world to us.

Today’s treasure is Bedford’s very own Colossal Sandwich Shop. It is located on the south side of Bedford on Bedford rd at 183.

I have enjoyed watching this jewel grow into what it is today. They started in a small building on the corner of Brown Trail at Bedford Road.

It is an awesome business, in fact it was picked by yelp as a top 100 business. They are highly rated on several sites.
They use high quality products which makes for a wonderful dining experience. My favorite is the mid-cities. I just love having their awesome sandwich for lunch. Get there early because it’s so good they can get busy.

Do yourself a favor and try them out if you haven’t already.

It’s hard to articulate and to put into words just how thankful we are. To every person who has prayed, donated, sent us messages, shared, and offered kind words, THANK YOU.

The amount of love that has been showed to us, in more ways than one, is just unbelievable. From complete strangers coming into the shop to donate, to the messages and comments we have received. Each act and word of love, kept helping us move forward from this dark time. Yesterday morning, we were feeling hopeless and defeated. We didn’t know what we were going to do. We were scared. Scared this was the final straw that would shut down the shop. Scared that this would happen again. Scared for the well being of our family. Simply scared.

Right now, we are filled with hope, joy, and all around gratitude. Hundreds of people have showed us support and love. People who have never even tried one of our sandwiches, showed us support. People who are long time supporters and friends, acted as a bridge over troubled water for us. We felt as though we had an army around us, fighting a battle we simply thought that we had already lost.

Our family thanks you. Thank you for being the sun peeking through this storm. Thank you for all of the kind words. Thank you for the prayers and the reminder of God’s love. Thank you for the donations and helping us get back on our feet. We will forever be in debt to you. Please if you sent us a donation, came into the shop to support us, or even sent us a message of well wishes, please private message us your address so we can personally thank each person.

As for the people who committed this crime, we hope that they are drawn to the love of Jesus. They are in need of love and grace, just as much as the next person. Although these criminals haven’t been caught yet, we have peace. There are still 5 other victims of this burglary so we ask if anyone has any information to please let the authorities know. If anyone has any information leading to the suspects let us know and we will treat you to an amazing lunch.
