The Rainbow is hiring as we prepare to open our doors soon!!🌈

As a Bedford staple, The Rainbow is currently undergoing renovations and looks forward to welcoming new team members as we prepare to open soon.

We’re hiring ALL positions, including management (experience preferred).

How to apply:
- You can pick up an application on Tuesday March 24th and Thursday March 26th between 2:00pm and 6:00pm at the rainbow drive in at 1504 Longwood Ave. Bedford, Virginia 24523.
- We are looking for team players who care about great customer service and being apart of the local community.

Minimum age is 16!

This is going to be a long one so just bare with me. I first want to start off by saying thank you all so very much for all the support. I have met so many people I will never forget or who have made a lasting impression lol. I’ve been involved with our beloved ice cream staple for the last 19 summers and with our beloved rainbow drive in since reopening in 2020. I grew up in this neighborhood and have literally watched people grow up in it. With that being said it’s my time to step away and let some new life be brought to the neighborhood.

I’ve put my blood, sweat and tears into every aspect of these businesses. I’ve sacrificed so much over my lifetime for these businesses and it’s time for me to step away and give that time back to my family. This decision was not made lightly at all and I would want nothing more than to continue doing what I have been for so long, however that’s not what is in the best interest of me and my family at this time.

But do not be alarmed and think these Bedford staples are just going to disappear. They will continue to operate just under new ownership. And what you can do is make sure to show continued support of these Bedford landmarks so hopefully they can continue to roll into the future for so many more to enjoy. Small business is such a hard thing to make successful in this current economy and if you want to see your favorite places succeed you must support. That’s what makes the small businesses keep rolling.

Please be patient with the new owners as they learn the business and processes. Nothing is easy about change and we understand that completely. But we would love to see you all before the final not goodbye but see you later. I will still be in the neighborhood through August 4th and familiar faces will still be around when I’m gone so don’t feel you are being left high and dry. At this point my path is going down a different road but that doesn’t mean the stops along the way are gone.

Again I truly cannot thank you all enough for the support and memories over the years. It means so much more than what can be put into words. The appreciation I have for the the multiple staff members over so many years that have made these wheels turn I can not put into words. Without them nothing could have been done and the amount they put in cannot be measured. I am so appreciative of them for everything they have done for me and the businesses over the years.

Come see us through August 4th and be patient and understanding for the transition after. Because the new owners want to see our beloved staples stay our beloved Bedford staples. Thank you all again for all the memories because truly I have a lifetime of them. So much more I could say but honestly can’t put them into words so just one final time thank you.

Boss man is on vacation for the week. With that being said we are short staffed but still want to be able to serve our amazing community so to do so we will still be open this week but closing at 6pm Tuesday-Friday for the week.
