Participants will choose the book for the next meeting (Apr. 1) at the end of this meeting. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month.

Thursday March 13th 3-5 at Coffee Tea & Books!

Help us create a mosaic masterpiece, Bedford! 🤩 We’re inviting the community to help us paint over 300 individual canvases that will come together to form a beautiful indoor mural in Bedford. 🎨

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?
The City will hold three come-and-go painting events in the coming weeks. During these events, all members of the community are welcome to stop by, pick up a tile kit, and create your design using ONLY the materials included in your kit. You must paint your tile during the event, and return it to City staff before leaving.

Each individual tile is 4 inches by 4 inches. It could take approximately 15 minutes to one hour to create your masterpiece!

Once all tiles have been painted, City staff will combine the tiles to create the final design of intertwined trees, measuring 8 feet by 8 feet. Staff has not made a final decision where the mural will live, but we’ll keep you updated.

🎨 Tuesday, March 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. – Bedford Senior Activity Center, 3542 Central Dr. (BSAC MEMBERS ONLY, please pre-register with staff in advance)
🎨 Wednesday, April 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. – Old Bedford School, 2400 School Lane

A creative writing workshop!! ✍️📝
Calling all writers! If you would like to improve your skills and begin writing your first novel, then this workshop is for you! Maybe you have written and published before, and would like to build a network of other authors who you can grow with and learn from, then this workshop is for you! The day will include: plot development and structure, crafting compelling characters, the art of dialogue, the process of editing and revising. We will also explain the importance of BETA and ARCS; the pros and cons of traditional publishing and independent publishing; marketing must haves in 2025; and a time for networking. You will also be given a workbook to help you with your next or current project. There will be light bites in an inviting environment! The course will be taught by Phylisha Gold a professional who has over 30 years teaching the art of writing!!!
