We will be here 1-6 tomorrow and we're doing free sno cones for the community! Anyone that comes in tomorrow gets a free cone on us. 🍧

Thursdays are going to look different at Sip and Slide from now on.

Lofi Thursdays are for kids that are not so good at regulating themselves. For kids who have big emotions, meltdown easily, who don't understand social cues. For kids that need LOTS of room to play or their brains are running at 160 mph at all times.

For the foster kids. Adopted kids. Kids with trauma. Kids with autism. Kids with special needs. Kids with medical needs. Kids that are misunderstood, yet still deserve a place to play.

Lofi Thursdays are a reservation only day for families and friends of children with special needs so that they can play in a small group - each time slot is maxed at 6 kids - or privately depending on what you feel your child can be comfortable with.

Lights will be dimmed, music will either be low or off (we'll take it day by day), and stimulation will be minimal.

On Thursdays, playrooms will be closed for walk-ins so that these kids can play safely and are free to be themselves. Will this hurt business? I'm not sure yet but I don't believe a child past, medical history, or diagnosis should interfere with their ability to play. And I want to make it possible and safe for all kids.

We thank everyone for the opportunity to serve Beckley, and we hope that we are able to continue for a while. 🫶
