Watching Christopher walk into the classroom today with so much confidence made my heart burst. It feels like just yesterday we were learning colors and shapes, and now he’s tackling big books, solving problems on his own, and taking on the world with that bright curiosity of his.
Christopher, I am so proud of how hard you work, how kind you are, and how much you’ve grown. First grade isn’t ready for all that magic. Here’s to a year of new friends, big adventures, and learning so many incredible things. Have the best first day, buddy! ✏️🍎

People always ask me, “Does Christopher eat well?”
The short answer: yes, he’s a great eater! But getting here took some intentional habits that made food fun rather than a battle.
Two routines that completely changed the game for us:
Monthly grocery missions: Once a month, I take him along and let him pick out one completely new food or ingredient to try. Does he love every single thing? Definitely not! But having ownership means he actually wants to try it.
Bi-weekly flavor adventures: Every two weeks, we try a new restaurant or cuisine together. It’s been amazing for helping him get comfortable with different textures, spices, and cooking styles without any pressure.
At the end of the day, his heart (and stomach) will always circle back to sushi and noodles—and honestly, I can’t blame him. But building curiosity around food has made all the difference. 💙
