Marla’s Update: We have heard all of the rumors good and ugly. No we have not moved to Arizona. No we did not buy in Tennessee…. We haven’t moved at all 😂 No we haven’t just quit. In response to the person who said why don’t we try and send phone calls to our personal phones, we tried that and to save you the long story, it just didn’t work.
•When the fire happened we were leasing to buy the building and the landlord did not have fire insurance. This is why we sit… still waiting. We still wait on our very own insurance as well. We can relocate. We have put in multiple offers to different places (locally) including the Marla’s building as it sits. Our first offer was made over 2 months ago. And here we are… still waiting.
•We can’t help but feel terrible for all of the missed events, date nights, birthdays and celebrations, and now holidays. It’s so heartwarming to feel all of the love from all of you we have run in to when we are out running personal errands. Thank you for that. It helps with the decision to keep fighting. It helps to know what an impact not just Marla’s had in the community but the Diego and Bianca (and crew) Marla’s had in the community. To the very few of you who have sent us ugly, nasty messages, you help us too. You have no idea. But, I won’t be responding to any hate, you’re not worth my time.
•We have a few other ideas up our sleeves! Keep an eye out for future posts! We heard tamales are a big deal in December 😆
