New School Barbecue across Texas is abundant to say the least. Countless folks are doing it extremely well as evidenced in the conversations we share in with every BBQ enthusiast we have the opportunity to prepare a tray for.

We couldn’t be more honored to be selected by Texas Highways Magazine to represent Beaumont and all of SETX with our take on Barbecue. We’re perfectly at home baptizing our barbecue in our Cajun roots and your growing support each passing week signals to us we’re going the right way.

Tuesdays at 1701 are about to get a whole lot better with the debut of our reverse seared tri-tip. We take this incredibly beefy bite and smoke it on the pit till just about done before we finish it off in a cast iron skillet with our house-infused tallow. Top that off with an aged chimichurri sauce and you’ll have an instant Tuesday go-to.
