Rhumbar will be CLOSED for DINNER service this Friday, October 9th. Lunch service will operate as normal and we will have normal service resuming on Saturday.

Around here, fresh and local is the name of the game.

Our community was built on the backs of hardworking fishermen, shrimpers, and seafarers, and we’re pretty proud to keep that tradition alive.

So, in honor of the 40th Annual NC Seafood Festival, we’re celebrating the best way we know how: with some real good LOCAL seafood.

ON THE MENU TODAY AND TOMORROW:

🐚 LOCAL CONCH FRITTERS
We just got our hands on some fresh LOCAL conch, and you better believe we’re putting it to good use.

🐟 DAYBOAT FISH TACOS
Fresh local fish served on flour tortillas with lettuce, pico, and cilantro crema.

What’s the fish? Good question. Ask us when you get here. Our tacos will feature whatever fresh, local catch comes through our doors today and tomorrow. Doesn’t get much fresher than that.

Both features will be available SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

So, when you’ve had your fill of the festivities across the bridge, come see us in Beaufort. The seafood is local and the parking is free.

Bring your family to work day!

…which, around here, is actually every day.

This week, though, we’ve got an official reason. Silas, a senior at East Carteret (and one of our bussers), chose to shadow his dad, our Head Chef Shawn, for his health & nutrition class.

Probably the best-tasting school project he could’ve picked.

And they’re far from the only family affair around here. We’ve got 4 sets of siblings, 3 parent-kid duos, one married couple, and a partridge in a pear tree….thats a lot of kin under one roof.

As for the rest of us? We argue enough like family to count.

Oh, and I guess we all love each other enough too. 😉
