It’s October, so we’re officially calling it: red w**e season is here.

And we’re kicking it off with a w**e that’s a little personal for us. Before Sister Sister was Sister Sister, we used to visit Mark Ryan’s tasting room in Walla Walla, and GSMs have always been one of my absolute favorite styles of w**e. So this one feels especially fun to have on our shelves and pour for you.

Board Track Racer GSM is Mark Ryan’s Washington take on the classic Southern Rhône blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre—three grapes that each bring something different to the bottle. Grenache brings ripe, juicy fruit, Syrah brings dark fruit and pepper, and Mourvèdre brings earthiness, spice and structure.

The result is everything I love about a GSM: dark cherry, plum and blackberry, black pepper and warm spice, with plenty of richness without being overly heavy.

It’s exactly the kind of red I want when we start moving into fall.

The calendar says October. Beaufort may or may not cooperate. We’re drinking red w**e anyway.

We’re getting ready for Burger Night tomorrow, and things are getting a little spooky around here. 👻🍔

Beef is ground, potato buns are baked, and tomorrow we burger.

🌶️ THE HALLO-PEÑO POPPER
Roasted jalapeño cream cheese, pickled jalapeños, hoop cheddar, Nueske’s bacon & shredded lettuce on our house-made potato bun.

🧛 VAMPIRE REPELLENT
Caramelized onions, buttermilk cheddar, peppercorn dijonnaise, romaine & house pickles. Enough onion to keep the vampires away. Probably.

🍔 THE CLASSIC
Aioli, cheddar, house pickles & shredduce. No tricks. Just a very good burger.

And as always, we’ll have a Kids Burger for the little monsters. 👹

Burger Night is tomorrow, 4–8 PM. Come hungry. Come spooky. Costumes not required, but spiritually encouraged. 🎃

We’re officially adding a gluten-free cupcake to the case! We’ll be switching up the flavor, and this week we’re starting strong with a GF version of our Matilda:

🍫 Gluten-Free Matilda Cupcake
Dulce de leche filling + espresso cinnamon buttercream.

Because nobody should have to stand there staring sadly at the pastry case.
