We invite you to join us for the Kentucky Coal Heritage Trail Regional Summit on Friday, November 6, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Herman’s Brew in Beattyville.
This summit is an opportunity for our communities to come together and talk about how we can strengthen and promote the Kentucky Coal Heritage Trail as a regional tourism experience.
We want to recognize and thank Bit Source for the work that went into creating the Kentucky Coal Heritage Trail and providing our communities with a resource that connects and showcases the rich coal heritage, stories, places, and people of our region. Now it is up to all of us to help build upon that work and make the most of this opportunity.
If you haven't heard of the trail, please visit the website to learn more: https://kycoalheritagetrail.com/
A trail connecting our communities can benefit all of us—but only if we all promote it and bring something to the table. Each of our communities has its own history, stories, attractions, businesses, food, arts, and experiences. When we connect those assets and encourage visitors to travel from one community to the next, we have an opportunity to keep them in our region longer, increase visitor spending, support our downtown businesses, and introduce people to places they may otherwise never discover.
