The true landmarks of LBI are slowing disappearing. One of those OG’s is Wally’s in Surf City. We love Wally’s and eat there as often as possible. Right now they need our help. Please consider donating to the Go Fund me that has been started to help support the people who work there. Many of us budget our entire year on what we make during the 12 weeks of the summer season. This is a scary time for those employees. If you can’t donate say a prayer, send some good intentions their way and be sure to get there for a meal when they reopen. Thursday was delivery day. Thursday before Memorial Day weekend was THE delivery. The one that kicked off the summer. When the other 2 ovens got fired up after sitting cool for the past 6 months. It never got old and it was always something that we looked forward to. My husband in particular. He loved this weekend because he got to do what he loved best for all of the people he loved the most. This will be the first Memorial Day weekend I’ve had off in over 30 years. I wish I could say I’m happy about it but it’s just a reminder of all that has changed. I want to wish all of our friends, family and customers a very Happy Memorial Day weekend and a beautiful summer of 2026. We miss you all and the hunt for a new location continues…..

I was gifted the most beautiful painting from my sister tonight done by a local artist. Jaime, i can not thank you enough for the absolutely beautiful job you did capturing our “home”. I love that my tattoo and the Stanley Cup are memorialized in the windows. I cant express how much i love it. When I knew we had to pack up and move I felt like it was impossible and I was SO stressed. Two other movers were unable to do the job for various reasons. Then came Joe Merola to save the day. Joe came in and within just a few minutes, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Moving day came and he and his crew were better than I could have imagined. Can’t wait to find a new spot so he can move us in! If you need a mover, call Joe. He is SO much more than a Guy with a Truck!!
