I wanted to share something with everyone who has been supporting my little food truck journey. š®š
The City of Jonesboro contacted me this week and asked me to remove the colorful feather flags that were placed out by the street in front of my lot on South Church Street. They received several calls and complaints, and they also explained that the grass strip between the sidewalk and the road is considered public right-of-way, even though I rent the entire lot behind it.
Because of the downtown zoning rules, businesses are not allowed to put flags or signs in that right-of-way area, and certain types of tall āattention-gettingā flags are restricted in the Downtown District, even when placed on private property. So to stay in compliance, I took them down.
Iāll be honest⦠itās disappointing as a small business owner. The flags were never meant to bother anyone. They were simply a way to help people see where the food truck is located, especially in a part of downtown where visibility is tough.
But I love this city, I love serving this community, and I want to respect the rules, whether I agree with them or not. This journey hasnāt been easy, but every single customer who stops by reminds me why I keep pushing forward.
So if you pass by and donāt see the flags anymore, donāt worry, we are still here!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support local businesses like mine. Your encouragement, your shares, your visits, and your kind words mean more than you know, especially on days when it feels like the small businesses are climbing uphill.
Iām still here, still cooking, and still grateful. ā¤ļøš®
Thank you, Jonesboro.
