Saturday, October 24th will mark the end of our 12th full year at 70 E. Main Street in Bay Shore, and it feels like the perfect opportunity for a little throw back Thursday.
This New York Times review from 2015 resurfaced the other day, and instantly took us back to the old Verde days. Before kids, before families, and before life got complicated in the absolute best ways possible. Looking back, it’s amazing how nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
Our commitment to the community and our passion for what we do hasn’t wavered for a split second—in fact, it’s only grown stronger. With our new home and expanded footprint now in plain sight, we are beyond excited for the next 12 years. Still, we can’t help but feel incredibly nostalgic about the milestones we’ve shared with you within these walls. We’ve been there for it all: from first dates to engagements, weddings to baby showers, and baptisms to graduations.
We’ve made a lifetime of friends here at Verde, and we know you’re all coming with us when we make our big move in a few months. The commitment we made to Bay Shore and Long Island 12 years ago has been returned to us tenfold, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the everlasting support. We wouldn’t have made it one year, let alone twelve—nor would we have had the courage to take on this next chapter and sink our roots even deeper—if it weren’t for our incredible friends, family, staff, and community.
Thank you for an amazing 12 years. We hope to see you all again before we say goodbye to this space we’ve called home for so long. Stay tuned for some exciting updates…
