It’s been an incredible week. 🤍
I’ve loved seeing every one of you from open to close. I don’t get to work behind the counter every day anymore, but when I do, it reminds me how much I love this little place.
And there was just something about this week.
I’ve been excited to get up and come in every morning. Hair still wet, running around behind the counter, making drinks and catching up with y’all.
I can’t believe I get to do something I love this much.
I’ve also spent a lot of time this week talking to my girls and thinking about how much I’ve watched them grow.
Most of them come to me as seniors in high school or during their first year of college, trying to decide what they want to do, wondering if they’re choosing the right path and figuring out what their lives are even going to look like.
And then somehow a few years go by.
They change majors. They start figuring things out. They fall in love. Some get married. They graduate. They move away. They grow into these incredible young women right in front of me.
What a privilege it has been to get a front row seat to all of it.
And I think about how much pressure we put on kids that age to know exactly what they’re supposed to do when, six years ago, I completely changed the trajectory of mine.
I loved being a nurse. And then one day I became a business owner with absolutely no business experience and no idea what I was doing. 😂
And somehow, here we are.
Coastal Bay became part of your mornings, your routines and your everyday lives. Then came Bay Blooms, and somehow I got invited into the bigger moments too. The birthdays, the showers, the weddings, the days you plan for and remember.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain what that means to me.
I don’t share this side of myself very often. Nobody believes me, but I really am shy. 😂 In person, I’ll talk to y’all all day. Social media is where I usually talk myself out of saying anything at all.
But today I just wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for walking through our doors and spending your hard-earned money on the things we create. Thank you for trying our ridiculous little drink concoctions and letting us keep dreaming up more. Thank you for telling us about your kids, your jobs, your good news and your hard days. Thank you for praying with us and allowing us to pray with you.
I hope when you leave Coastal Bay, you leave with a little more than a good drink.
I hope you always feel welcomed, cared for and loved.
Because you’ve given that back to me more times than you’ll ever know.
I’m so thankful for this town, these girls, this business and every single one of you who has made Coastal Bay part of your life.
Love y’all. Truly.
See you next week. 🤍
