Old City Hall – Bay City’s premier place for casual fine dining. We feature two culinary trained Chefs, and a wait staff that will make your dining experience very entertaining. Old City Hall features over 150 wines from around the Globe. Enjoy our Domestic and Imported bottle beer, along with 23 beers on tap, which consist of bo

th imports and local Michigan breweries. If you are looking for a spirit we have over 120 different, especially vodka, scotch, gin, rum, and many cordials. The history of Old City Hall starts with the opening of the building in the late 1890’s as the first city hall for the city of Bay City. It remained the city hall for short period where it was then moved. It has been accredited to the vast interests of the Downtown being on
“Hell’s Half Mile” which got its name from the uncontrollable rough activities, sultry brothels, and Wild Saloons within that stretch of road during the early logging days, which caused its relocation. With the city resting right on the Saginaw River, which leads to the bay connecting the shipping channel to lake Huron. The City was a center for loggers and ship builders. Old City Hall is also featured in several “Haunted Buildings” of Bay City Books. There have been several eyewitness occurrences that have put the building into several publishing’s. Old City Hall features lots of fun, with several large screens to watch your favorite event, or to come and listen to some great music. There are many downtown events, which are great during the seasons to enjoy. We welcome you to our establishment and hope to have you visit us soon.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Downtown Bay City Wine Walk! 🍾

Join us on Thursday, September 17th, 2026, from 5:30 to 9:00 PM for an evening of sipping, sampling, and enjoying appetizers at some of your favorite Downtown Bay City establishments!

This year’s Wine Walk features several new stops joining us for the first time, giving you even more places to hop around to. Plus, the pedal trolley will be out providing complimentary shuttle service throughout the evening!

Tickets are $40 and are available for purchase at any of the participating establishments listed below. Attendees must be 21+.
