When one of our own is hurting, we believe you show up.
Many of you know Ms. Teresa. Recently, she suffered a stroke, and while we're incredibly grateful that God allowed her to receive life-saving treatment in time, her recovery journey is not over. She has still not been released to work, has ongoing medical care, and even a heart catheterization next week.
Today, we're launching a GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of her recovery. If you feel led to give, every donation - large or small - will make a difference. If you're unable to give, we'd be honored if you'd keep her in your prayers and share her story.
At the same time, we also want to recognize the incredible team at Kate's. Over the past several months, they have stepped up, worked extra hours, adapted to constant change, and carried an incredible amount of responsibility with grace and dedication.
To thank them, 50% of all pastry sales during this campaign will go directly into an Employee Appreciation Bonus Pool. That bonus will be distributed based on hours worked and tenure, allowing us to recognize both the hard work and the loyalty of the team that has kept Kate's moving forward.
These are two separate initiatives, but they're both rooted in the same belief: we take care of our people.
