Well....here is what "semi-retirement" has accomplished. Lol.
WELCOME TO OUR NEW MEETING SPACE, therapy and classroom time and healing area....
This expansion will bring the needed space for workshops/classes to take place. In a wonderfully comfortable and delightful space. An area to share, grieve, work through trauma, find peace and perhaps forgiveness. And then incorporate our incredible horses, to join us in our Therapeutic Horse Program here at Grace.
Using horses can bring a completely different aspect to therapy. The pic shown is a therapy session using Koda. An unbelievable mustang that is very sensitive with his clients. This gentleman was explaining to Koda....that he was afraid. Was dealing with many aspects of fear in his life. It was a very tender moment. So with all the mention of "fear" Koda decided to merely lay down. Perhaps to help alleviate the fear that the client had also shared about "big animals." These experimental moments are what creates lasting and meaningful times for these clients.
What an afternoon this session was!!! ❤️.
So WELCOME HOME... and a new beginning for Healing. ❤️

What an amazing day!!!! Our Annual Unity Church service at the Farm (enjoying a summer spent outside the walls of their church building). It's been an honor to host this event yearly for close to 10 years. Have been in a relationship with this talented and blessed group for well over 20 years.....With Pastor Curtis and Pastor Debra. ❤️
A friendship formed through loving people, helping community, seeking opportunities outside the lines of normal and loving the Lord. It's always an honor to work with this group of people.
We have been blessed year after year. Thank you for desperately loving people the way you do. ❤️

"Rescues.... Rescuing the Rescued"

Last night I walked up to the barn, after a long12 hr. shift at the hospital. Kind of feeling worn out. Feeling my age. Feeling the results of several weeks of building new runs for our stalls. I don't cart around 50 pound bags of cement like I use to.
Taking inventory of life. The good. The bad and often the ugly. Mistakes... and successes. Life's ups and downs....kind of feeling melancholy.
Was saying good night to Cora (our most recent rescue from the feedlot) outside her stall. She seemed to "need" more tonight. Was trying to rest her nose up under my chin (kind of our thing when we were first trying to figure out each other after her rescue) through the stall bars. She seemed to be beckoning for a bit more tonight. As was i.
As I stepped into her stall we both seemed to draw in a long breath and sighed a breath of contentment.
Through all of life's regrets.... this is one thing I got right. Teaching these gentle souls about love. Second chances. Long suffering with goodness and joy sprinkled in. ❤️
And I realized this is how God wants us to come to Him. No words needed. No explanations. No regrets of the past. Just a time to relax in His love and acceptance. And remember how much He longs for these times together.
I wondered how many times i must walk past Him, when He just wants me to slow down a bit. Open the stall door... .and step into all His goodness.
Thats what Cora reminded me of tonight.
Look at me...see me. Open the door and take a step in. And remember how much we are loved.
Grattitude always follows. ❤️.

Unity Summer Camp!!!! Such a blessing.
Thanks to Curtis Kimbrough Debra Simone Kimbrough Destiny Reid /David and all the leaders who made this such an amazing day. ❤️
The kids were joyful and excited. Nature walks, crafts and painting, horses and laughter. Many had never ridden before. They all did great!!.
Pastor Curtis and Debra are amazing leaders, unbelievably hard workers, and always encouraging and finding the positive in people. I've been blessed for over 20 plus years of working with them. They have taught, supported and encouraged me when I needed it the most.
❤️ you guys!!!

How does this ever-so-sweet face....eat his entire dinner.... Eat both dry food, combined with some meat and his arthritis pill wrapped in turkey and cheese....and then leave his bowl all clean and shiny.
But leave THE ONE THING I needed him to eat?
Thats the miracle for today at the farm. ❤️
