A letter to our customers.

Dear our beloved customers,

The time has come for us to end this chapter of our lives. Our heart is heavy to announce that Shwe Mandalay Burmese Cuisine is permanently closed.

For those of you who really wants to know why, here is the main reasons why we decided to end this is Short Staff, Not Enough Help, Pandemic, and With Everything That’s Going On Around Us.

Finding the right candidate is not easy, and on top of that Burmese Cuisine is the typical food that’s cooked everything from the scratch. So we can’t just hired anybody just like that. And it’s not easy to remember and learn about our food and backgrounds especially for non-Burmese people. And not everybody knows what Burmese cuisine is and even where Burma is located. So that was a little too challenging for some of our staff. Also nowadays with everything that’s going on, as you all known already, small businesses are suffering with staffing and we just happened to be one of them.

With short staff, only three people working in the back and front, we no longer feel right for our customers when we lack the satisfied quality customer service. We feel awful every time for being short handed everyday and not being able to give our customers the best service they deserve.

And as the two sharing partners moved out of states, only one of the partners is left to run the show day to day operations. With staffing issues, not enough help, and with a small child, this partner could not hold any longer. She decided she needs to rest from this and take good care of her child. So this option has brought onto the table, and all partners agreed and decided to end the chapter.

We started Shwe Mandalay Burmese Cuisine just from normal daydreaming conversation in 2015. This dream didn’t just end there, it continued and established on August 23, 2018, with soft opening.
Since then, you all became our loyal customers. And for that, we appreciated each and every one of you. We are so grateful and thankful for your faithful support till the end. Although we are sad to announced that we are closed permanently, how we feel for your love and support while we were in business is beyond words to express. All we can do is pray to God to bless you all richly in-return.
