Not all decaf is created equal. Our Black Gold Decaf is different. We’ve been quietly experimenting with a limited small-batch Dark Roast decaf—and the result surprised us.

Deep, rich, and boldly flavorful, this one proves you don’t have to sacrifice that dark roast taste to skip the caffeine.

It’s smooth, full-bodied, and roasts up with that classic dark character we love—just without the jitters.

We only have a few bags left from this run. If you’ve been curious about better decaf, now’s the time. Shoot us a message us if you’d like to grab one before they’re gone.

Lookout Coffee is different than all the burnt, stale coffee that is so common in the industry. Small batch roasting changes everything and our method has been tested for over a century.

On our 1918 Royal No. 5 roaster, every batch is hands-on—no shortcuts, no hiding behind automatic controls, just careful attention to bring out the best in each bean.

The result? Incredible freshness & better flavor.

You can taste the difference when coffee is roasted with love.

Down to the last bag of our magic beans. Something special about a bag like this.

Santa Maria, Colombia.
100% Arabica
Only the finest fruit selected
And it makes some of the best coffee we have ever tasted.

Every great cup of coffee begins with a story like this: careful roasting, high-grown beans and a journey that stretches back to the farm.

From Santa Maria to our Royal no 5 roaster to your cup. Pure ❤️

Most of us grew up thinking coffee was supposed to taste burnt, bitter, and that was good enough. So much of the coffee industry runs on stale, old coffee that’s been sitting far too long. Quality is an afterthought.

We have learned that fresh roasted coffee is a different experience entirely. Richer flavor, better aroma, and a cup that actually feels worth slowing down for.

It’s made our mornings better. That’s why we do what we do. Little every day things- like fresh coffee- make a tremendous difference.

Happy Easter… Glory to God! Today is a celebration of the ultimate act of love, sacrifice, and renewal. It gives purpose to even the smallest things we do each day.

This verse has become a cornerstone for us: 1 Corinthians 10:31 — “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

It’s not just about good coffee. It’s about honoring God in the craft, in the process, and in the people we serve. For us, that looks like early mornings, careful roasting, constant learning, and a commitment to doing things the right way without compromise.

God bless all of you. He is risen. Glory to God!

There’s nothing like tasting our coffee next to the gold standard to keep you honest. Prior to starting our little operation, my favorite coffee was Lobster Butter Love from Roos Roast.

The first time I tasted it, it was clear— the body, the creamy flavor, and the freshness was totally unique. It’s the kind of coffee that surprises you and gets your attention.

Grateful for the standard they’ve set and chasing it every day. So we keep roasting, tweaking, learning, polishing. A little better each batch.

After tasting this morning, I like how we stack up ❤️

Cheers to Roos Roast for the amazing work- Lookout 🔥

Refining our Decaf is very satisfying…
In our experience, it demands more attention and a sharper feel. But when you get it right, there’s no compromise. Just balance, body, and sweetness. A high quality dark roast. But there’s always work to do, but it’s getting better.

After a long search, the Royal No. 5 is complete.

Our beloved roaster was originally built in 1918 and for the longest time it was missing one small—but important—piece of history: the original lid.

Today that changed.

After tracking one down and restoring it, we were finally able to put an authentic 1915 lid back on the machine it was meant for. It’s amazing how one piece of metal can make something feel whole again.

Restorations like this aren’t about making something new. They are about putting history back where it belongs.

Now… time to roast. 🔥
