Sooo my little upstairs neighbor was debating with his grandmother because he wanted soup.

She asked, “What kind of soup?”

He said, “Chili soup.” 😂

She said, “Chili is NOT soup.”

Baby said, “YES IT IS! You eat it in a bowl with a spoon, and it’s wet with meat juice. Soups have juice!” 😭😭😭

He looked at me.
She looked at me.

And now I’m standing there like… 👀

Because low-key… I’m on his side. 😂😂😂

Soooo yup. Chili soup it is.
I don’t make the rules. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

🥖DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE🥖

Romans 6:5
“For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection.”

Some seasons feel like they are burying you, when God is actually planting you. 🌱

There are things in us that must die—old habits, old mindsets, old wounds, and old versions of ourselves—so that God can bring forth something new, stronger, and more fruitful.

Being planted with Christ means we are not meant to stay where we were. Resurrection is part of the promise.

So if life feels dark or heavy right now, remember: a seed grows in the dark before anyone ever sees the evidence.

Keep trusting.
Keep growing.
Keep believing.

God is bringing NEW LIFE from what you thought was the end.

Give Yourself GRACE!

🍞 DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE 🍞

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Don’t feel guilty for resting. Rest could save your life.

We live in a world that praises being busy, overworked, and constantly available. But God never called us to destroy ourselves trying to prove that we are productive.

Take the day off. Put the phone down. Close the business. Leave the work until tomorrow. REST.

Because when you’re gone, the world will keep moving. The position can be filled. The work will continue. But your life cannot be replaced.

Even Jesus withdrew from the crowds to rest and pray. Rest isn’t laziness—it’s wisdom. It’s recognizing that your body, mind, and spirit need restoration too.

Give Yourself GRACE! 🤍

Protect your peace. Protect your health. Protect the life God gave you.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is simply REST.

🍞 DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE 🍞

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion.” — 2 Corinthians 9:11

There will come a time when God blesses you with OVERFLOW—not simply so you can have more, but so you can be more of a blessing.

And when that season comes, remember the people God placed along your journey.

The ones who blessed you without conditions.
Without questioning what you would do with it.
Without making you feel ashamed for needing help.
Without expecting anything in return.

They simply saw the God in you. They believed in what God placed inside of you, even while you were still walking through the valley.

When God brings you into your season of abundance, don’t forget the hands He used to help carry you through your season of lack.

Some blessings are seeds.

And one day, God will give you enough harvest to go back and water the people who once poured into you. 🙌🏽

Your season of receiving will become your season of giving.

May God bless us with the kind of overflow that allows us to say:

“You were there for me when I needed it. Now God has blessed me enough to be there for you.”

That’s not repayment.

That’s gratitude. That’s love. That’s GOD. 🙏🏽❤️

🥖DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE 🥖

“God will send you exactly who you need, right when you need them.”

📖 Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
“Two are better than one… For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow.”

Some people don’t enter your life by accident. God knows when you need encouragement, support, wisdom, love, or simply someone who reminds you that you’re not walking alone.

And when the time is right, He will place the right people in your path. You won’t have to force the connection, chase it, or question the timing. Sometimes their presence itself is confirmation that God heard a prayer you never even spoke aloud.

Be grateful for the people God sends—and remember, sometimes you are the answered prayer He sent to someone else. 🙏🏽

God’s people. God’s purpose. God’s timing.

🍞 DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE 🍞

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 KJV

Sometimes God’s plan won’t make sense while we’re walking through it. We may not understand the delay, the closed door, the unexpected change, or why things didn’t happen the way we planned.

But today, God is reminding us: You don’t have to understand everything to trust Me.

Trust Him when you can see the way.
Trust Him when you cannot see the way.
Trust Him when the numbers don’t add up.
Trust Him when the timing feels uncomfortable.
Trust Him when all you have is your faith.

Our understanding is limited, but God already sees the entire road ahead. What feels like uncertainty to us is already known and accounted for by Him.

🙏🏽 TODAY’S PRAYER

Lord, I trust You with my whole heart. When I don’t understand what You’re doing, keep me from leaning on my own thoughts, fears, or assumptions. Direct my steps, order my decisions, and give me peace while I wait for Your plan to unfold. I surrender the need to have every answer because I know You already have the way.

I TRUST YOU, LORD — EVEN WHEN I DON’T UNDERSTAND. 🙌🏽

🍞 DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE 🍞

GOD WILL CLOSE THE GAP!

📖 Philippians 1:6
“He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Sometimes there’s a gap between where you are and where God promised you’d be.

A gap between what you have and what you need.
A gap between the prayer and the manifestation.
A gap between the vision and the resources.
A gap between where you started and where you’re called to finish.

But don’t let the gap make you doubt the promise.

GOD WILL CLOSE THE GAP! 🙌🏽

You may not see where the rest is coming from.
You may not understand how everything will come together.
You may be looking at the numbers, the timing, the circumstances and wondering, “Lord, how?”

But if God gave you the assignment, He already knows what is needed to complete it.

Keep working.
Keep praying.
Keep believing.
Keep being faithful with what’s already in your hands.

Your responsibility is faithfulness. God’s responsibility is provision.

The same God who brought you this far is fully capable of carrying you the rest of the way.

🙏🏽 Today’s Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding me that what I lack does not limit You. Where there is a gap, provide. Where there is uncertainty, give me peace. Where I cannot see the way, strengthen my faith. Help me trust that You are already working on what I cannot see. I believe You will finish what You started. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The gap may be real, but so is GOD’S PROVISION.
And before this chapter closes, I believe I’ll look back and say:

“LOOK WHAT GOD DID!” 🙌🏽

🍞 DAILY BREAD WITH CHEF VANCE 🍞
Wednesday, August 12, 2026

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
— Psalm 37:5 KJV

This Wednesday, I’m reminded that I don’t have to carry the weight of figuring everything out.

I can make the plans.
I can do the work.
I can remain disciplined.
I can show up faithfully.

But ultimately, God is the One who brings it to pass.

Some prayers are still unfolding. Some doors haven’t opened yet. Some things may not look the way I imagined they would by now—but I refuse to mistake God’s timing for God’s absence.

I’m committing my plans, my family, my business, my finances, my future, and the desires of my heart back into His hands.

What God has for me does not require me to panic.
I will pray. I will prepare. I will work. I will trust.

And when He brings it to pass, I’ll remember exactly WHO did it. 🙌🏽
