One Million Bones: Baton Rouge Chapter

One Million Bones: Baton Rouge Chapter By making human bones with clay, we encourage the community to learn the facts of genocide and reflect on the lives of its victims.

Learn more by clicking our About section... One Million Bones is a large-scale social art project, founded by activist and artist Naomi Natale, to raise awareness of the genocides and mass atrocities in Sudan, Burma, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The goal of this project is to make one million fabricated bones by next year to lay out at the National Mall in Washington D.C., creating a mass

gravesite, to remember the victims and survivors and to demand an end to these atrocities. One Million Bones is having a Road to Washington campaign. For this campaign, on April 28th, all 50 state capitals will hold simultaneous installations to raise local awareness of the project and the cause. The Baton Rouge One Million Bones installation will take place at Louisiana State University (LSU). We will come together, on that day, to commemorate the victims and the survivors, and to make sure their voices will not go unheard. Join us on April 28th at the LSU Greek Amphitheatre from 4 PM to 8 PM
