🌙 these last couple days we have been busy busy busy busy as we wrap up summer 2026🌙

✍️ we loved welcoming in author Ellen Baker of Summerland Cove to chat with our book club attendees over bubbly and oysters ✍️

🎥 and we loved meeting the guys behind ROOTED, a new documentary series that features Maine business owners and entrepreneurs! Our episode will air in a little over a month! 🎥

🍂 As we begin to transition into our early Fall season and hours (please see our website!) we are excited for the colors, crisp air, and plump oystie babies that are looking good out there on the sea farm 🍂 don’t get us wrong though, September is basically another summer month so we will be waiting for you! 🍂

☀️ as Sunday evening closes in along side what feels like a long summer, we are excited to discuss our August summer book club pick this coming Tuesday from 5:30pm-7pm! ☀️
📕 We loved this book because of the suspense and mystery elements. It was a page turner— we kept coming up with theories in our heads as we pieced together the clues. Taking place in what we assume is the New Harbor/Bristol/South Bristol peninsula, for sure an outta-state-family-drama with very juicy side stories 📕 the book could absolutely be a movie. It just released this summer, so a big congratulations Maine author Ellen Baker! We were able to attend the book release at the Wiscasset Yacht Club earlier this year and we absolutely loved that it was themed like the character David’s birthday party (which kicks the novel off, as he missed his own birthday party in the story line)📕

📖 we hope to see you on Tuesday (come as you are, no sign up necessary and the author may even be joining us!) and keep on writing Maine women! We support you! 📖

📚 it’s that time a year again 📚 we start to slowly lose our college students to the real world 🥲 Our first college student to head back is Sebastian, who worked his last shift with us on Sunday.

🎥 This is Sebastian’s fourth season, he has been here since our soft opening weekend in 2023. With a work ethic that is unmatched, he is also special to our OystHERS hearts because he was the recipient of our very first Morse High School scholarship. Sebastian goes back to his third year at Ithaca where he is studying screenwriting. Next summer he hopes to have an internship in Los Angeles or NYC (not bad for a kid from midcoast Maine!) and we are rooting for him! 🎥

📚 we have our UMaine students for the next two weeks but as our other out-of-state college students leave and our Morse High athletes begin their pre-seasons, we wish everyone so much luck and good fortune because they have made this summer incredible📚 the sani buckets, dish pit, and impatient guests will miss you all 🤣🥲

🦞 our lobsterman’s daughter mocktail featuring cranberry, orange, and seedlip spice 94 has been a hit all summer🦞 We will have our last public seating at 7pm as we welcome in a wedding this evening 🦞

🦪 if you are looking for something different to do this evening, our owners/lobstermen’s daughters will be in their hometown at the Five Islands Fuel Dock from 4-6pm. Lauren will be preforming an acoustic set of music 🎶 and Sadia’s oysters from OystHERS Sea Farm will be shucked by the staff there for their Friday Night Oysters + Mocktails Series! If you haven’t been to the fuel dock, it’s a great little spot with a general store filled with local goodies and treats. Seating is directly on the water and you can watch the lobster boats come and go. Park in the public town lots and walk on down 🦪

☀️ have a great weekend! ☀️

🥂 might be hot outside but we have the A/C working overtime this afternoon and the vibes are waiting🥂

🖼️ we have a lot of art around the raw bar, some pieces are dear to our hearts as we’ve been collecting or have been gifted quite a bit over the years, other pieces we have found on the roadside or in dumpsters (yes, lol, yes) 🖼️ come see which paintings inspire you on this hot afternoon! Or, when it cools off come hang by the water.
