Found a little cottage on in and brought Deep Well along for the ride. A crisp, clean German (by way of New York) -style Pilsner that’s perfect for the idyll life ☺️ We’ve been working with Micheal from Critz Farms since 2021 but we’ve know him long before that! In fact, we recently hung around Eli Fish Brewing Company for an Eli/Critz collab!

Check them out if you haven’t already! Oh, and if you’re near the tiny village of Inlet, NY then stop by their local grocer - there’s a great lineup of Micheal’s handiwork for sale.

We are happy to announce two pieces of beer-related news today:

- Not only are we returning our annual fall favorite, Cinnamon Apple, to our draft and can lineup this week, but...
- We are also pleased to announce that we've collaborated with Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards to use cider from 1911 Established in the beer this year!

We use cider from New York state apples and locally grown 2-row barley from New York Craft Malt to create our fall seasonal. This beer also incorporates cinnamon, allspice, oatmeal and brown sugar. 🍎🍂

Our roots run deep in Western New York. My great-grandfather established Hawley Farms in 1909. There are now 6 generations who’ve grown up on the farm (our 3 grandchildren are deep into exploring every nook and cranny).
My grandfather was a progressive farmer championing modern (for their time) practices. We think he’d be proud of how we have reimagined the farm into a modern day malthouse. But he’d likely never guess that the story of the farm would be on each and every one of our malt bags.

Stories are powerful. Stories link us to the land. Stories gave me (and my kids and grandkids) a strong sense of family, of identity, of honor and determination and the universal truth that nothing - nothing worthwhile - comes easy, without sacrifice.

Stories give our malt a Pride of place and that’s why you can read it on our bags. We love what we do, the connections we’ve made throughout the brewing and distilling communities. And most of all, we’ll continue to write the story of our farm.
