ONE LAST AMERICAN BURGER BEFORE BARCELONA 🍔🇺🇸🇪🇸
Tomorrow evening, I head back to Barcelona to finish my Master’s Degree in Culinary Innovation & Gastronomy at EUHT.
But before leaving, I had one little craving to satisfy…
I wanted a really good, juicy American burger. 🍔
Over the past three months, I’ve tried burgers at several well-known restaurants — some expensive, some famous, some fast food. Somehow, none gave me that simple, satisfying burger experience I was looking for.
So today, I sat down at our own d^licious COFFEE BAR and ordered our Quarter Pound Burger.
All-beef patty. American cheese. Cornichon pickles. Pickled red onions. Crispy bacon. Ketchup, mustard & mayo. A soft brioche bun.
And simple potato chips on the side — which, today, I enjoyed even more than French fries.
And there it was.
THE BURGER I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR. ❤️
After 40+ years in the restaurant business, traveling around the world, and now studying gastronomy in Europe, food continues to remind me of something important:
Great food doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. It just has to be made right.
Our Quarter Pound Burger is just $7 — or $9 with crispy bacon.
And I’m especially proud because this isn’t just my burger. It was created by Kyle and Mimi and prepared today by Carolina and Susana.
My compliments to my team. ❤️
Tomorrow, Barcelona. 🇪🇸
Today… one very happy Chef, one very satisfying American burger, and one more reason I’m proud of the people behind d^licious.
Simply d^licious. 🍔❤️
