Unfortunately, I made the decision to close, because I was informed the street would be closed. I appreciate the turning around of this, but I already told my staff to take the day off and enjoy it. I will not go back on my word and say, actually, they changed their mind. Again, a little communication goes a long way. Carpe diem everyone. Looks like a beautiful day ahead! We are closed Today, Tuesday, June 16th. Thank you again for understanding. -Valerie

As a LOCAL business owner of almost 20 years, THIS is how I am informed the road will be closed and people should "avoid" the area. That the work day is "ruined". My new neighbors are doing work, I get it... I was just told by the City manager. "This is not a City project, it's a private project". How would I have done it, I was asked? Honestly, maybe some better planning, "night work". That's how they do it in the cities. I dont have the answers, and it's not my job to have the answers and keep all the businesses open. Clearly it is at the cost of my business and others that are forced to close because of this.

How about a little notice, a little communication so I can plan accordingly, rather than waste everybody's time. We have a food delivery, guests checking in. This post was forwarded to me on Facebook from an employee. How embarrassing to not know my business will be esentially closed for the day.

I dont want to waste my staff's time, or our customers, so unfortunately we will be closed tomorrow Tuesday, June 16th.

Thank you for understanding. I apologize for any inconvenience, and the extremely short notice.
