Kentucky Author, Country Musicians and Line Dance Choreographer Bring Christmas Magic to Bardstown

BARDSTOWN, KY — October 17, 2026 — A Christmas romance is coming to life through music, dance, and film as Kentucky romance novelist and Amazon bestselling author de de Cox brings her novel, Do You Hear What I Hear?, to Pat’s Place Restaurant in downtown Bardstown on Saturday, October 17, for a special Christmas-themed filming event.

The celebration features the original country Christmas song The Magic of Christmas, written and performed by Michael Rix, a banjo country artist and singer-songwriter. Joining Rix are two accomplished musicians, Dino Villanueva on guitar and Kurt Olsonon drums, as the team films the song’s official country music video and a cinematic book trailer inspired by Cox’s Christmas romance.

Adding a unique twist, Marla Caitlin Currie of Boots n’ Bluegrass Line Dancing will lead a specially choreographed Christmas line dance and flash mob to the original song, with hopes of inspiring a viral social media dance challenge.

Saturday, October 17 — Pats Place, 125 North Third Street, Bardstown, Kentucky

* 8:00–9:00 AM: Christmas line dance rehearsal
* 9:00–10:00 AM: Line dance and flash mob filming
* Also taking place: Official country music video and Christmas romance book trailer production

The event brings together local talent, original music, storytelling, and the hometown hospitality of Pat’s Place, owned by Pat Adams, a longtime friend of Cox.

Michael D. Butler of Beyond Publishing Global serves as Executive Producer of the book tour and events.

What began as a Christmas romance novel has become an original song, an unforgettable dance, and a celebration of the magic of Christmas.
