Gooseboro Drive-In opened on a smoldering hot Fourth of July Weekend in 1961. In fact, it was so hot and busy that first weekend , owner, Bob Hammer had trouble keeping the bottles of soda cold! 50 years later Bob is still proudly serving his delicious food to the residents of Litchfield County. Litchfield’s 3rd annual Top Dog best hot dog contest takes place July 14-17. The winne will be announced at the July 19 concert on the Green.
