High atop Beech Mountain at elevation 5046 feet, Fred's General Mercantile offers a wide variety of merchandise including groceries, hardware, clothing, ski/snowboard rentals, a bird shop, and the BEST chili! Check out our downstairs bird shop (seasonal) in the spring/summer & our ski/snowboard equipment and clothing rentals in the winter located downstairs! On the main middle floor you will find all of the groceries, hardware, and clothing items, as well as lots of Fred's specialty items!

Who's ready to kick off summer with a bang? 🎉 We're stoked to announce our first Summer Sunday Sunset Concert featuring the ridiculously talented Cockman Family! 🎶 Show starts at 6:30 pm and we'll be groovin' until 8 pm. Don't forget to BYOC (bring your own chair) or a comfy blanket, and pack a cooler with snacks for the fam! See you there! 🎉
