2 Feet 👣 made the Daily Dessert with candy rocks from Oh, Grow Up! a new condy store downtown.
CAKE CONTEST: take a photo of a candy at Oh, Grow Up! that you want 2 Feet Brewing to make into a cake, and post it below.
On June 5 we’ll tally the votes and Nit-Noi will make a cake with the most popular candy.
Everyone who posts a photo vote will be entered into a drawing for a free piece of cake.

The community supported (so free) birthday carnival and “Pet Sematary” Pet Parade are Sunday, Sept. 20, 2-5 pm. The Derry, Maine Beer Garden is 4-8 pm Sept. 19 and tickets are now available.

2 Feet 👣 is so excited — only 133 days before Stephen King’s birthday!
We’re again partnering with SK Tours of Maine and In Derry, Maine (a local T-shirt company) to throw a 2 day street party in King’s honor that includes an old-time carnival and “Pet Sematary” Pet Parade parade on Sunday, Sept. 20, and a beer garden on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Sunday’s events are free, thanks to donations made by Constant Readers and local businesses.
Tickets are now on sale for the “Derry, Maine Beer Garden” 4-9 pm Sept. 19, featuring local brews from all around the area, and some Stephen King-themed food and games.
Can’t wait to see how people dress up this year!

Mother’s Day is on Sunday and if you haven’t made reservations yet, we’ve got a backup plan that will blow your mom‘s mind — make her Maine Lobster Alfredo from scratch.
We will do all the chopping and measuring and all you have to do is cook the pasta, and heat up the sauce and garlic bread.
Your mom will be soooooo impressed.
Place your orders now for a lobster dinner for 2 (to 4) people for $50. Add the equivalent of an extra one and a quarter pound lobster for $17.

2 Feet 👣 is again part of Downtown Bangor’s annual Cinco de Mayo Margarita contest. Ours are made with spicy mead from Fat Friars, and house-made simple syrup. We also have a spicy mango mocktail.
Open Mic for Songwriters, hosted my Rachel Blackerby, starts at 5 pm.
The Daily Desserts are: French Whoopies - a chocolate croissant filled with Whoopie pie filling, or vegan Chocolate Sea Salt-Pretzel Torte.

French Whoopies - locally made chocolate croissants filled with marshmallow filling - are the daily dessert. (I’ll post a picture below because FB won’t let me post a video and picture together.) The croissants come from Maribel‘s Baking Company in Winterport.

STEPHEN KING’s 79th BIRTHDAY CARNIVAL UPDATE: Dollar Baby film festival added.
Max Blaska from Madison, Wisconsin is returning to Bangor to host the “Dollar Babies Come Home Film Festival” as part of the two day downtown Bangor birthday party, September 19-20.
Stephen King’s "Dollar Baby" program allowed aspiring filmmakers to adapt his short stories for $1. The program ended in 2023, but 100s of short films were made.
“I like the idea of all these films coming back to where the author wrote the stories they were based on,” said Blaska, who made a Dollar Baby called “Last Rung on the Ladder.”
He added the film fest “program will run as a 90–120 minute loop featuring a mix of Dollar Baby adaptations that center on mental health and bullying.”
September is su***de awareness month. 
Initial plans are to have the film festival at The Emporium Spooky Goods and More, which is moving to a new location on Main Street.
2 Feet Brewing, In Derry, Maine T-shirt Co., and SK Tours of Maine are again hosting King’s birthday featuring the “Derry, Maine Beer Garden” and Dollar Baby film festival on Saturday, Sept. 19; and community-supported Stephen King’s 79th Birthday Carnival and “Pet Sematary Pet Parade” on Sunday, Sept. 20.
